"Review of [Crystal McEachern] - State Farm I had a deeply frustrating experience with Crystal McEachern of State Farm regarding a rental insurance policy. The ordeal began when I paid a $97 premium for my mother’s renters’ insurance, which was not due until September 9. Unfortunately, just days later, on August 17, my mother passed away. Following her death, I contacted State Farm on August 19 to inquire about the refund process. I was informed that I would need to wait 5 to 10 days for a check, which would be mailed to my mother's address. I was surprised to learn that they could not refund my credit card, despite the payment not being due for another two weeks. After the initial wait, I reached out again only to be met with confusion. I was told the check hadn’t been processed, and I was repeatedly contacted on my mother’s phone regarding her beneficiary status, despite my clear explanations that there was no estate and no beneficiaries. As the weeks dragged on into September, I made several calls to the agency, each time receiving vague responses and assurances that someone would get back to me. The lack of communication was frustrating, and I felt as if my concerns were not being taken seriously. By late September, I spoke with a different representative who assured me the check would be mailed soon. I requested to speak with the agency owner, Crystal, but by early October, I still had not received any updates or calls from her. This issue is still not resolved. When I finally managed to reach Crystal, I explained the harassment I felt from the repeated calls and my concern about the lack of action regarding the refund. I also pointed out that due to their delays, I incurred a $10 service charge on my mother’s checking account, with the threat of more charges if the check continued to be delayed. Crystal's response was dismissive, and she insisted on needing a death certificate, which I had already offered. She implied that the refund might not be fully honored due to the “date changes” and cancellations, which felt like an unfair tactic to avoid processing my refund. In summary, my experience with [Agency Name] has been incredibly disappointing. The training and customer service at this agency are severely lacking, and the owner did not take responsibility for the poor handling of my situation. While it’s only $97, the principle of the matter is significant. I will not be doing business with this agency again and will be reporting this experience to the Better Business Bureau and the Kansas insurance department. I urge others to consider their options carefully before choosing this agency."

Our office has to follow the guidelines for cancellation requests with the company and these sometimes take longer than we all would like them to. In your case in particular, my team member needed additional information after the original request was received and that's why we were calling. We did call and try and get our team to escalate the cancellation request, however that is not an option and the request has to be worked in the order received. I did try and call you after you requested to speak to me but I received voicemail. Again, this should not be something you are having to worry about and I do apologize for the inconvenience and extra ordinary work order time. We will do everything in our power to get this done ASAP for you. "

"I have had only two agents during my 25-year partnership with State Farm. Both agents have been great but Crystal is a special person that really knows how to provide customer service. Whether you are dealing with her of a member of her team, you are always provided resolution in a minimal amount of time which is greatly appreciated. "If i could leave a -100 review i would. Horrible experience with “ Aaron “ make sure you explain things to him as if he were a 5 year old or else he will process an estimate for $200+ & deny a refund. Took my money without my consent nothing but trouble with this agency save your time & money to go else where !!"
